Grand Northumbrian Concert

The Morpeth Gathering’s Grand Northumbrian Concert is back after 3 years!
The organisers are delighted to announce its fund-raising concert of local traditional music, song and humour, to take place 7.30pm, Fri 10th Feb, in Morpeth Town Hall (Ballroom).
Performers include: Alistair Anderson, JIB, Eileen Beers, Border Directors, Sophie Fraser, James Tait
The whole will be kept in order by MC Ron Forster, known to many as singer, actor and the Gathering’s Lord Greystoke.

For those wondering about the Morpeth Gadgy, Alex Swailes MBE has promised to be back in action for the Gathering itself, which this year takes place from 14th to 16th April. The organisers are working on pulling together as much as possible of the events programme which the pandemic interrupted, so that the annual festival of music, dialect, craft, dance and heritage can make a welcome return on the weekend after Easter.
