Saturday 13th February at 7.30pm Morpeth Lions Valentines Day Dance.
Wednesday 17th February at 12.30pm to 1.30pm Lunchtime Concert given by Rachel Stroud (Violon), Stefan Berkieta (Bass Baritone), and Chris Thompson (Piano) - all undergraduates at Cambridge University.
Saturday 27th February- Fair Trade Coffee Morning at 10am until Noon

Wednesday 17th March at 12.30pm to 1.30pm Lunchtime Concert given by KEVI School Senior Music Students with School Chamber Choir.

Wansbeck Music Festival Events
March 11th - 13th Recorder and Woodwind Classes to be held in St George's URC, Morpeth from 9.30am until 4.00pm approx.
Senoir Woodwind classes will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 13th
The Mayor of Morpeth Councillor Ken Brown will open the festival on the morning of 11th March.

Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society has fallen on hard times - it is down to only 4 active members, Gordon, Joyce, Margaret and Bernard and audiences are almost non-existent. Something must be done to give the Society a new lease of life! When Gordon decides to write a "customised" pantomime script ("to play to our strengths"!!) it seems like a good idea at first, BUT with this Society nothing is ever certain......!
The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley The four stalwarts are back to tackle yet another threat to their survival - this time in the shape of a newly-formed rival Amateur Dramatic Society. The quartet devise an ingenious military-style operation that doesn't quite go to plan! Could this finally be the end of their Society? Don't be too sure. Remember "it's never over....until the fat lady sings"! March 25th - 26th General Festival to be held partly in St George's URC Morpeth and partly at the Newbiggin Sports and Leisure Centre. March 25th- Choir Classes to be held in Newbiggin Community & Sports Centre from 9.30am until 3.00pm approx
At 6.00pm until 7.30pm Orchestra, Folk Group and Steel band classes being held at Chantry middle school, Mitford Road, Morpeth
All classes on on 25th and 26th are being held at St George's URC, Morpeth
March 26th- String Classes from 9.30am to 3.00pm approx
At 6.00pm a concert of "open" classes - piano and vocal
March 27th- Piano classes, Piano duets, and vocal classes for under 18 yrs from 9.30am - 3.00pm
At 6.00pm Closing Concert by some prize winners and announcement and presentation of awards including Morpeth Town Council Bursary.
April 24th and 25th Brass Festival weekend
April 24th Brass Festival Individual Competitions to be held at St George's URC Morpeth- 9.30am to 4.00pm approx
April 25th Brass Band Festival Competition to be held at Newbiggin Sports & Leisure Centre- all day commencing 10.00am. |
