PRESS RELEASE

Change of speaker at Trust meeting

Former Tyne Tees Television anchorman Bill Steel is to take over from fellow broadcaster John Grundy as the guest speaker at next week's annual general meeting of Greater Morpeth Development Trust.

The historian and programme presenter was due to speak at the Trust's meeting that begins at 7pm on Wednesday November 12th.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Grundy is no longer able to attend and Bill Steel has stepped in to take his place at the annual general meeting appropriately being held at Collingwood School which has special status as a media studies' school.

For many years Bill Steel was the anchorman, continuity announcer and programme presenter at Tyne Tees Television and at the meeting he will talking about his long career and experience in the media.

Trust officials are inviting anyone to attend the meeting to find out more about its work and the important role it is playing in the regeneration of Morpeth.

Attendees at the meeting will also have the opportunity to be involved in the consultation process which will help set the Trust's priorities for the projects it will be delivering in and around Morpeth for the next 12 months.

John Grundy has agreed to speak at a specially arranged event organised by Greater Morpeth Development Trust that will be held in Morpeth Town Hall ballroom on Wednesday November 19th starting at 7pm.  Admission is free.
