The Young Persons' Interest Group has had another successful year, with a second annual ice rink project running in February 2008. This year the project transformed into an ice festival, which hosted a range of entertainment and activities to complement the rink, with the grand finale of a spectacular fireworks display.
The Young Persons' Interest Group is currently undergoing a restructure and aims to have a new director appointed by the end of November 2008. This director will be a representative on behalf of the young people, rather than a young person.
The young people of Morpeth continue to make a great contribution to GMDT and there is also strong partnership working with local youth agencies such as Barnabas Safe and Sound.
All of GMDT's Interest Groups help to deliver regeneration projects and support other groups operating within the Morpeth area. Our ethos is to work in partnership for the benefit of the community so if you are interested in working with us on a project why not become a member?
You can do this by phoning Kerry Gibson on 01670 503866 or download and complete the application form and send it back to us here at Lodge House or to kerry.gibson@gmdt.org
